The Annual UFSMA Conference will be held at Ruby's Inn in Bryce Canyon, Utah from September 26-29, 2017.

Registration:     To register for this technical course please "purchase" a free ticket during the conference registration
Cost:                   NFIP 101 Course is free, but there is a fee to take the CFM exam that will be paid to the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM). CFM applicants can obtain an application and payment form on the ASFPM website www.floods.org at the Certification Program tab. All CFM® applications must be received at the office of ASFPM at least 2 weeks prior to the exam date for review and approval. No walk-ins will be allowed.

2D Flow Modeling using SRH-2D with SMS

Instructor:          Dr. Alan Zundel: Dr. Zundel is the president of Aquaveo, LLC and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT.  For the past 25 years Dr. Zundel has overseen the development of the Surface-water Modeling System (SMS).  Dr. Zundel has also been involved in the development of tools for the Groundwater Modeling System (GMS) and the Watershed Modeling System (WMS). He has developed ten separate short courses on various aspects of the modeling process and presented over 150 of these short courses to government agencies, private consultants and professional organizations.

This year, we will be using Eventbrite to collect registrations. To register please click the Eventbrite button below that will take you to the Eventbrite registration page for this years UFSMA Conference.

The Conference registration fee is $185.00 and will go up to $230.00 after Tuesday, August 1, 2017. Our conference fee is your annual membership fee for UFSMA, which includes your conference registration, sneak peek to yearly trainings and CFM examination dates. Registration includes all your materials, Bryce Canyon Hike, Breakfast and lunches on Wednesday and Thursday(breakfast only on Friday), the Business Meeting and Awards Banquet lunch and break items. 

If you are planning on having a spouse/guest attend the Wednesday Afternoon Business Meeting and Awards Banquet there will be an $22 charge for each guest(s). You may pay in Eventbrite. Please fill in appropriate boxes during registration. A name badge will be printed for each paid guest.
